Digital Chapel Privacy Policy

Digital Chapel provides scripture reading, prayer and fellowship features, optional community submissions, and an AI-assisted Bible study tool. This policy explains the information used to provide those features.
Information We Collect
- Email address and account identifier when you choose to sign in.
- Prayer requests, praise reports, names, and other content you choose to post publicly.
- Private journal entries and reading progress that you choose to save.
- Audio or video ministry submissions, including the name, email address, title, description, and file you provide for review.
- AI study requests, monthly usage counts, membership tier, and subscription status.
- Basic technical information automatically handled by hosting, authentication, and app-store providers to operate and secure the service.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to authenticate users, display requested community content, save app progress, moderate submitted media, provide Bible study responses, enforce monthly AI limits, verify Chapel Plus purchases, prevent fraud, and maintain app security.
Public and Private Content
Prayer-wall posts, praise reports, and approved ministry submissions are intended to be visible to other users. Do not include confidential information in public submissions. Journal entries are intended to remain associated with the submitting user and are not intended for the public community feed.
AI Processing
When you use the Chapel AI Teacher, the selected Bible passage and requested study mode are sent through a secure server function to Google Gemini to generate a response. Your monthly request count is stored to enforce the free or Chapel Plus allowance. AI responses may be inaccurate and should not be treated as divine authority or professional advice.
Payments
Android subscriptions are processed by Google Play. Digital Chapel does not receive or store your full payment-card details. The app stores subscription status, product identifier, expiration date, and a protected hash of the Google Play purchase token to provide Chapel Plus access. Subscriptions can be managed or canceled through Google Play.
Service Providers
Digital Chapel uses Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and server functions; Google Gemini for optional AI responses; Google Play for Android subscriptions and distribution; and the production web host used to serve this policy and supporting web content.
Data Retention and Security
Information is retained while needed to provide the service, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Reasonable technical controls are used, including authenticated access and database security policies. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
You may avoid optional community, journal, media-upload, and AI features. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account information and submitted content by emailing the support address below. Public content may be retained temporarily in backups or where required for safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Children
Digital Chapel is not directed to children under 13. Users under the age of majority should use the app only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the app changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
